Job Summary

We are looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Senior Executive Procurement (Packaging Procurement) to manage the end-to-end procurement of packaging materials. The ideal candidate should have experience in sourcing, vendor management, cost negotiation, inventory planning, and ensuring the timely availability of packaging materials for uninterrupted production. Preference will be given to candidates from the FMCG, Beauty & Personal Care, Cosmetics, Food & Beverage, or D2C industries.

Key Responsibilities

- Manage the procurement of packaging materials such as bottles, jars, tubes, pumps, caps, cartons, labels, corrugated boxes, pouches, shrink films, and other primary & secondary packaging materials.

- Identify, evaluate, and onboard new suppliers to ensure competitive pricing and reliable supply.

- Negotiate pricing, payment terms, lead times, and contracts with vendors.

- Raise Purchase Orders (POs) and ensure timely order placement and material availability.

- Coordinate with Production, Planning, Quality, Warehouse, and Finance teams to ensure smooth procurement operations.

- Track supplier performance based on quality, cost, delivery, and service levels.

- Conduct regular market analysis to identify cost-saving opportunities and alternate sourcing options.





- Monitor inventory levels and ensure optimum stock availability to avoid stock-outs or excess inventory.

- Resolve supplier issues related to quality, delivery delays, shortages, and invoice discrepancies.

- Maintain procurement records, vendor databases, and MIS reports.

- Ensure compliance with procurement policies, quality standards, and company procedures.

Required Skills

- Robust negotiation and vendor management skills.

- Good understanding of packaging materials and procurement processes.

- Knowledge of sourcing, RFQ/RFP, cost analysis, and contract management.

- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.

- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.

- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, MIS Reporting).

- Experience working with ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics, or similar.

Qualification

- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Engineering, Commerce, or Business Administration.

- MBA/PGDM in Supply Chain or Operations will be an added advantage.

Preferred Candidate Profile

- 4–7 years of experience in packaging procurement.

- Strong exposure to procurement of primary and secondary packaging materials.

- Experience in supplier development, strategic sourcing, and cost optimization.

- Ability to work in a fast-paced and cross-functional environment.
