Job Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented Accounts Executive with experience in the shipping, logistics, NVOCC, or freight forwarding industry. The candidate will be responsible for managing day-to-day accounting operations, freight billing, accounts receivable/payable, bank reconciliations, statutory compliance, and financial reporting while coordinating closely with operations and customer service teams.

Key Responsibilities

· Handle day-to-day accounting transactions in ERP/Tally.

· Manage Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR).

· Prepare and issue freight invoices for ocean, air, and logistics services.

· Verify job files and ensure accurate job costing and revenue recognition.

· Process vendor invoices, shipping line invoices, transport bills, port charges, detention, demurrage, and other logistics expenses.

· Perform customer, vendor, and bank reconciliations.

· Monitor outstanding receivables and coordinate with customers for collections.

· Prepare payment vouchers and process vendor payments.

· Maintain General Ledger and monthly journal entries.

· Assist in monthly, quarterly, and annual financial closing.

· Prepare MIS reports, profitability reports, and cash flow statements.

· Ensure compliance with GST, TDS, Income Tax, and other statutory requirements.

· Coordinate with auditors, bankers, and tax consultants during audits and assessments.





· Handle foreign currency transactions, remittances, and exchange rate accounting.

· Maintain records of Bills of Lading (BL), invoices, debit notes, credit notes, delivery orders, and shipping documents.

· Support management with budgeting and financial analysis.

Required Qualifications and Skills

· Bachelor's / Master’s degree in commerce (B.Com/M.Com), Finance, or Accounting / MBA (Finance)

· 2–5 years of experience in shipping, NVOCC, logistics accounting.

· Proficiency in Tally ERP, Advanced MS Excel skills.

· Robust knowledge of GST, TDS, and statutory compliance.

· Experience in freight billing and job costing.

· Understanding of shipping documents such as Bill of Lading (BL), Delivery Order (DO), and freight invoices.

· Strong analytical, reconciliation, and communication skills.

· Ability to meet deadlines and work in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Experience

· Experience in an NVOCC, freight forwarding, shipping line, CHA, or logistics company.

· Knowledge of multi-currency accounting and overseas remittances.

· Familiarity with ERP systems used in logistics and freight forwarding.

Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹30,000.00 per month
