Position Summary

We are seeking an experienced Senior Data Engineer with expertise in Data Modeling, Databricks Delta Lake, and Oracle Cloud Migration to design and implement modern, scalable data platforms. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in data governance, metadata management, and enterprise data architecture while working with cloud-based data ecosystems. This role involves building high-performance data pipelines, enabling secure data sharing, and supporting enterprise analytics initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

- Design and implement scalable logical and physical data models for enterprise data platforms.
- Develop and optimize data solutions using Databricks Delta Lake and Delta architecture.
- Lead Oracle database migration projects to Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) or modern cloud data platforms.
- Build and maintain robust ETL/ELT pipelines for structured and semi-structured data.
- Implement and manage Unity Catalog for centralized data governance and access control.
- Configure and manage Delta Sharing for secure internal and external data collaboration.
- Integrate and maintain metadata management solutions using Microsoft Purview.
- Develop data transformation workflows using dbt and Informatica.
- Establish data governance, lineage, cataloging, and data quality standards.
- Collaborate with business stakeholders, data architects, and analytics teams to deliver scalable data solutions.
- Optimize data storage, query performance, and cost efficiency across cloud platforms.
- Document data models, architecture, migration strategies, and governance processes.
- Troubleshoot data platform issues and ensure high availability and reliability.

Required Skills

Technical (Must Have):

- Strong expertise in Data Modeling (Conceptual, Logical,



and Physical).
- Hands-on experience with Databricks Delta Lake.
- Experience in Oracle Cloud Migration and database modernization.
- Strong SQL programming and query optimization skills.
- Experience with Unity Catalog for governance and security.
- Hands-on experience with Delta Sharing.
- Experience using Microsoft Purview for data cataloging and governance.
- Expertise in Informatica for data integration and ETL development.
- Experience with dbt (Data Build Tool) for data transformation.
- Solid understanding of Data Governance, Metadata Management, and Data Lineage.

Preferred Skills:

- Experience with Azure, AWS, or Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI).
- Knowledge of Apache Spark, PySpark, and distributed data processing.
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines for data engineering.
- Experience with Data Quality frameworks and monitoring tools.
- Exposure to enterprise analytics and AI/ML data preparation.

Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Engineering, or a related field.
- 6–9 years of experience in Data Engineering, Data Architecture, or Cloud Data Platforms.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
- Experience working in Agile/Scrum development environments.

Preferred Experience
- Designing enterprise-scale data models for modern cloud platforms.
- Migrating Oracle databases and applications to Oracle Cloud or other cloud ecosystems.
- Implementing Databricks Delta Lake with Unity Catalog and Delta Sharing.
- Establishing enterprise-wide data governance, cataloging, and metadata management practices.
- Building scalable ETL/ELT solutions using Informatica and dbt.
- Supporting business intelligence, advanced analytics, and cloud data modernization initiatives.
