We are seeking an experienced Senior Data Engineer (Data Modeler) with strong expertise in Data Modeling, Medallion Architecture, PySpark, Databricks, and SQL to design, develop, and optimize enterprise-scale data models and data engineering solutions. The ideal candidate should have extensive experience in dimensional modeling, data normalization, data quality, and profiling, along with hands-on knowledge of modern data engineering practices.
This role requires close collaboration with cross-functional teams to build scalable, high-quality data solutions while leveraging AI-driven productivity tools and adhering to data governance best practices.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop enterprise-scale data models to support business and analytical requirements.
- Implement and maintain Medallion Architecture for modern data platforms.
- Design and optimize dimensional models and normalized data structures.
- Develop scalable data engineering solutions using PySpark and Databricks .
- Build and optimize complex SQL queries for data transformation and analysis.
- Perform data quality checks and data profiling to ensure data integrity and consistency.
- Utilize AI-powered productivity tools to improve data modeling and engineering efficiency.
- Work with at least one enterprise Data Modeling Tool .
- Collaborate with business and technical teams to deliver reliable data solutions.
- Ensure adherence to data governance standards, including data lineage and metadata management.
- Follow industry best practices for scalable and maintainable data engineering solutions.
Required Skills
- 8+ years of experience in Data Modeling .
- Strong knowledge of Medallion Architecture .
- Expertise in Dimensional Modeling .
- Strong understanding of Data Normalization techniques.
- Hands-on experience with at least one Data Modeling Tool .
- Strong experience in PySpark .
- Hands-on experience with Databricks .
- Advanced SQL and data analysis skills.
- Experience with Data Quality and Data Profiling .
- Knowledge of AI and its application for productivity improvement.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Preferred Skills
- Experience with AI tools for Data Modeling and Data Engineering productivity.
- Experience in the CPG (Consumer Packaged Goods) domain.
- Knowledge of Data Governance practices.
- Experience with Data Lineage and Metadata Management .
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
- 8+ years of experience in Data Modeling and Data Engineering.
- Proven experience designing enterprise-scale data models and engineering solutions.
- Ability to work effectively in a remote environment.
