Role Description The Senior Cloud Engineer is a full-time remote role responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining scalable, secure, and highly available cloud infrastructure to support Superfan.ng’s learning platform. This role involves architecting cloud solutions, managing infrastructure as code, optimizing performance and cost, and ensuring system reliability and observability.

Engineer will collaborate closely with software developers to support CI/CD pipelines, improve deployment workflows, and troubleshoot complex production issues. Daily activities include monitoring cloud environments, managing databases and Linux systems, implementing security best practices,



and contributing to technical documentation and process improvements. The person in this role will also mentor team members and help define cloud and infrastructure standards across the organization.

Qualifications

- Solid Software Development and Cloud Computing skills, including experience building and deploying applications in cloud environments.
- Solid Infrastructure and Linux expertise, with hands-on experience managing servers, networking, and system automation.
- Proficiency with Databases and data storage solutions, including performance tuning, backup, and recovery strategies.
- Experience with infrastructure as code tools (e.g., Terraform, CloudFormation) and CI/CD pipelines (e.g., GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Jenkins).
- Knowledge of major cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP) and cloud security best practices.
- Strong problem-solving skills, ability to work independently in a remote setting, and effective communication with cross-functional teams.
- Prior experience in edtech, consumer apps, or high-traffic platforms is a plus.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
