As a Claims Handler, you will be responsible for supporting and managing reinsurance claims activities across client portfolios. This role offers an excellent prospect to build expertise in the insurance and reinsurance industry while working with global stakeholders and complex claim transactions. You will be involved in the end-to-end claims lifecycle, ensuring timely processing, accurate documentation, stakeholder communication, and adherence to contractual and regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Claims Management Processing: Process and maintain claims data accurately within internal systems.
- Review and action client instructions within agreed turnaround times.
- Support the handling of claims from notification through settlement.
- Ensure all claims activities comply with contractual obligations and internal controls.
- Maintain complete and accurate records within workflow and document management systems.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Coordinate with clients, brokers, reinsurers, claims adjusters, and internal teams.
- Respond to stakeholder queries professionally and efficiently.
- Escalate issues where required and support timely resolution.
- Operational Excellence: Deliver work in line with agreed SLAs, KPIs, quality standards, and timelines.
- Maintain accuracy across claims processing and documentation.
- Monitor outstanding items and support collection and settlement activities.
- Ensure compliance with internal policies, regulatory requirements, and industry best practices.
Additional Responsibilities for Senior Analyst
- Analyze technical claims documentation and bordereaux.
- Interpret reinsurance contracts and coverage provisions.
- Handle more complex claims scenarios and stakeholder queries.
- Support reporting, process improvements, and knowledge sharing within the team.
- Assist in training and mentoring junior team members when required.
What We're Looking For
- Education: Bachelors Degree (any discipline)
- Preferred Experience: Relevant experience in Insurance, Reinsurance, Claims, Operations, or Financial Services. Exposure to claims handling, policy servicing, settlements, or insurance operations will be preferred.
