About the Position The Centre for Women's Empowerment and Gender Equality (CWEGE) is seeking a motivated and field-oriented Seaweed Technology Engineer to support the implementation of its Seaweed Project.
This is a field-based position that involves technical support for seaweed cultivation infrastructure, quality monitoring, and field operations.
Job Summary The Seaweed Technology Engineer will be responsible for supporting the purchase, installation, monitoring, and maintenance of infrastructure used in the Seaweed Project.
The role also includes conducting water quality and seaweed quality testing, maintaining technical records, and providing technical support during field operations.
Key Responsibilities Support the purchase and procurement of equipment and infrastructure required for the project.
Coordinate and supervise the installation of project infrastructure and equipment.
Monitor the performance of installed infrastructure and ensure proper functioning.
Carry out routine maintenance and coordinate repairs when required.
Conduct water quality testing using standard procedures.
Conduct seaweed quality testing and maintain quality records.
Maintain technical documentation, reports, and equipment records.
Visit project sites regularly to provide technical support and monitor field activities.
