Senior Consultant – SAP ABAP HR + ODATA

Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced Senior Consultant – SAP ABAP HR + ODATA with strong expertise in SAP HCM technical development. The ideal candidate should have extensive experience in ABAP-HR development, ODATA services, SAP HCM modules, and integrations. You will be responsible for designing, developing, and supporting custom SAP HCM solutions while collaborating with functional consultants and business stakeholders to deliver high-quality solutions.

Key Responsibilities

ABAP-HR Development

- Design, develop, and enhance ABAP-HR programs, reports, interfaces, conversions, forms, and enhancements.
- Develop custom solutions using Infotypes, PNP/PNPCE Logical Databases, HR Macros, and Payroll Clusters .
- Create and maintain ALV reports, interactive reports, and custom HR transactions.
- Develop and enhance applications using ODATA Services , REST-based integrations, and SAP Gateway.
- Implement User Exits, BAdIs, Enhancement Framework, and Implicit/Explicit Enhancements.

SAP HCM & Payroll
- Develop and support technical solutions for Personnel Administration (PA), Organizational Management (OM), Payroll, and Time Management .
- Build payroll-related reports, custom wage type reports, reconciliation reports, and validation programs.
- Debug payroll schemas, PCRs, payroll clusters, and time evaluation programs in collaboration with functional consultants.
- Support payroll retro-calculations and payroll processing enhancements.

Integration & Technical Development
- Develop and maintain interfaces using IDocs, RFCs, BAPIs, File-based Interfaces, ODATA, and Web Services .
- Develop SmartForms, Adobe Forms, and HR-related print outputs .
- Build and enhance SAP Workflows for HR business processes.
- Support integrations with SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central (EC)



and third-party applications where applicable.

Quality & Delivery
- Prepare Technical Design Documents (TDDs), Unit Test Cases, and Technical Specifications.
- Perform code reviews and ensure adherence to SAP development standards.
- Support SIT, UAT, production deployments, transport management, and go-live activities.
- Troubleshoot production issues and provide timely defect resolution.
- Mentor junior ABAP developers and provide technical guidance.

Required Skills
- 6–10+ years of SAP ABAP experience with robust expertise in ABAP-HR .
- Hands-on experience with SAP ODATA Services and SAP Gateway .
- Strong knowledge of SAP HCM Data Model, Infotypes, Payroll Clusters, PNP/PNPCE Logical Databases, and HR Macros .
- Experience with Payroll, Time Management, Personnel Administration (PA), and Organizational Management (OM) .
- Expertise in ALV Reports, SmartForms, Adobe Forms, Workflows, BAdIs, User Exits, and Enhancements .
- Strong experience in developing interfaces using RFC, BAPI, IDoc, ODATA, and File-based integrations .
- Experience debugging payroll and time evaluation programs.
- Knowledge of SAP development best practices and transport management.

Preferred Skills
- Experience in India Payroll .
- Exposure to SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central (EC) integration.
- Experience in end-to-end SAP HCM implementation projects.
- Experience working on AMS, support, and enhancement projects.
- SAP ABAP and/or SAP HCM Certification is an added advantage.

Educational Qualification
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline.
