The Teacher In-Charge is responsible for overseeing the daily academic and classroom operations of the preschool while also serving as an active classroom teacher. This role ensures the effective implementation of the curriculum, mentors teachers, maintains academic quality, and provides direct teaching support whenever required to ensure smooth day-to-day functioning.

Key Responsibilities Academic Leadership

- Supervise and monitor classroom teaching to ensure adherence to the preschool curriculum.
- Guide, mentor, and support teachers in lesson planning, classroom management, and child engagement.
- Conduct regular classroom observations and provide constructive feedback.
- Ensure timely completion of the curriculum and maintenance of academic standards.
- Monitor children's learning, development, and assessment records.

Teaching Responsibilities

- Teach assigned classes as per the timetable.
- Take over classes in the absence of teachers to ensure uninterrupted learning.
- Plan and deliver engaging, age-appropriate lessons and activities.
- Prepare teaching-learning materials and classroom resources.
- Assess student progress and communicate updates to parents.

Team Management

- Coordinate daily teacher schedules and classroom allocations.
- Support recruitment, onboarding, and training of new teachers.
- Foster teamwork and ensure compliance with school policies and SOPs.
- Assist in resolving classroom and staff-related concerns.

Parent Communication





- Address parent queries related to academics and classroom progress.
- Conduct Parent-Teacher Meetings (PTMs).
- Maintain positive relationships with parents and guardians.

School Operations

- Coordinate school events, celebrations, and academic activities.
- Ensure classrooms are secure, clean, and well-equipped.
- Maintain attendance, lesson plans, assessment records, and academic documentation.
- Coordinate with the Centre Head on operational and academic requirements.

Qualifications

- Bachelor's Degree in Education, Early Childhood Education, or a related field.
- NTT, Montessori, or B.Ed. certification preferred.

Experience

- 3–5 years of preschool teaching experience.
- Previous experience in a leadership or supervisory role is preferred.
