Job Overview:

We are looking for a senior, highly skilled Sound Designer with a strong background in filmmaking and documentary storytelling. This role requires someone who understands sound not just technically, but cinematically—someone who can elevate emotion, pacing, and realism through sound. A documentary in the portfolio is mandatory for this role.

Responsibilities:

- Design and execute high-quality soundscapes for documentaries, short films, and cinematic content
- Perform sound editing, sound design, Foley, ambience creation, and audio layering
- Collaborate closely with editors, directors, and cinematographers to ensure sound aligns with visual storytelling
- Clean, enhance, and mix dialogue, background score, and sound effects
- Deliver broadcast-ready, cinematic audio mixes
- Understand narrative pacing and emotional beats from a filmmaker’s perspective

Required Skills & Experience

- 4–5+ years of professional experience in sound design for films or documentaries
- Proven experience working on short films and/or feature films
- Documentary experience is a must (at least one strong documentary project in portfolio)
- Advanced knowledge of sound design software such as:
- Logic Pro (mandatory)
- Pro Tools / Ableton / similar DAWs (preferred)
- Strong understanding of:
- Cinematic sound design
- Film language & storytelling
- Audio for visual media
- Good understanding of cinematography and filmmaking workflows
- Ability to work independently and maintain high creative standards

Portfolio Requirements (Mandatory)

- Applicants must share a portfolio that includes:
- At least one documentary project




- Sound design work for films or short films
- Clear credit for sound design responsibilities

(Applications without a documentary in the portfolio will not be considered.)
