Job Description: Site Engineer – Facade & Cladding

​Position Title: Facade Site Engineer

Department: Site Execution / Operations

Reports To: Project Manager / Senior Operations Manager

Employment Type: Full-Time

​Job Purpose

​The Facade Site Engineer is responsible for day-to-day on-site execution, installation supervision, structural alignment, safety compliance, and quality control of all external building envelope systems (e.g., unitized/semi-unitized curtain walls, ACP cladding, structural glazing, aluminum windows, and stone/metal cladding).

​Key Responsibilities

​1. Site Execution & Supervision

​Supervise daily installation of structural glazing, unitized panel lifting, ACP sheet cladding, spider fitting, and aluminum fenestration.

​Ensure all installation works strictly adhere to approved Approved Shop Drawings (ASDs) and fabrication details.

​Coordinate with main civil contractors, architects, and structural consultants to resolve site clashes or structural margin variations.

​2. Quality Control & Testing

​Perform line, level, plumb, and verticality checks using laser levels and total station markers before fixing brackets and transoms/mullions.

​Supervise water leak tests (hose testing) and anchor bolt pull-out tests on site.

​Inspect weather sealant and structural silicone application for proper backing rod depth, surface cleaning, and adhesion quality.

​3. Material & Resource Management

​Oversee site delivery, offloading, vertical transport, and protected storage of delicate glass panels, high-grade aluminum extrusions, and hardware.





​Track material consumption to minimize site wastage, damage, or scratch defects.

​Prepare joint measurement sheets and verify daily work done by sub-contractors or labor crews.

​4. Safety & Height Compliance

​Enforce strict site safety guidelines, particularly for working at heights (rope access, swing stages, mobile tower scaffolds, and cradles).

​Ensure all workers wear mandatory PPE (harnesses, double lanyards, helmets, suction cups for glass handling).

​5. Documentation & Daily Reporting

​Maintain Daily Progress Reports (DPR) recording manpower, machinery usage, work completed, and site delay causes.

​Record Snag Lists and carry out de-snagging before final handing over to the client.

​Key Skills & Qualifications

​Educational Background: B.E. / B.Tech or Diploma in Civil / Mechanical Engineering.

​Experience: 1 -2 years of hands-on site execution experience in facade engineering, structural glazing, or aluminum architectural works.

​Technical Knowledge:

​Proficiency in reading structural facade drawings, architectural elevation details, and section details.

​Understanding of structural silicone, EPDM gaskets, thermal break systems, and anchoring techniques (chemical vs. mechanical anchors).

​Familiarity with cradle operations, spider cranes, and glass vacuum lifters.

​Soft Skills: Strong labor management, problem-solving under tight deadlines, clear communication, and site coordination skills.

Pay: ₹10,754.53 - ₹20,000.00 per month
