Job Summary
The Stenography Trainer is responsible for providing theoretical and practical training in shorthand, typing, office procedures, business correspondence, and computer-based documentation. The trainer will develop students' speed, accuracy, and professional skills required for careers as Stenographers, Personal Assistants (PA), Executive Assistants (EA), Court Reporters, and Office Administrators.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver classroom and practical training in shorthand (English and/or regional language, as applicable) and typing.
- Train students in shorthand writing techniques, transcription, dictation, and speed-building exercises.
- Teach touch typing with emphasis on speed, accuracy, and formatting.
- Conduct training in business communication, office procedures, record management, and official correspondence.
- Provide practical training in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), email, internet usage, and document preparation.
- Train students in preparing reports, minutes of meetings, official letters, notices, agendas, and office documents.
- Conduct mock dictation sessions, typing tests, transcription exercises, and practical assessments.
- Prepare lesson plans, study materials, practical exercises, assignments, and evaluation tools.
- Assess students through shorthand speed tests, typing tests, practical examinations, and written assessments.
- Monitor student attendance, performance, and progress, providing individual guidance where necessary.
- Organize workshops on office etiquette, communication skills, interview preparation, and professional development.
- Maintain classroom discipline,
academic records, assessment reports, and documentation.
- Stay updated with modern office technologies, digital documentation systems, and industry requirements.
- Ensure compliance with institutional policies, quality standards, and examination guidelines.
Required Qualifications
- Diploma or Certificate in Stenography (English/Hindi/Bengali or relevant language) from a recognized institution.
- Bachelor's Degree in any discipline is preferred.
- Certification in Computer Applications (DCA/PGDCA), Microsoft Office, or Office Automation is desirable.
- Government-recognized shorthand and typing certifications will be an added advantage.

Pay: ₹9,434.28 - ₹20,000.00 per month
