Job Overview

The Graduate Engineering Trainee (GET) – Post Sales will support the technical team in installation, basic troubleshooting, and customer onboarding activities related to SOLIDWORKS and associated solutions. This is an entry-level role designed to groom fresh mechanical engineering graduates into competent Application Engineers through structured training, field exposure, and hands-on client interaction.

The role involves client visits, installation support, resolving first-level issues, and delivering basic user training to ensure smooth software adoption and customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

1. Installation & Deployment Support

- Assist in installation, activation, and configuration of SOLIDWORKS and related products at customer sites.
- Support hardware and system requirement validation prior to installation.
- Ensure proper setup of licenses (Standalone / Network) under supervision.
- Coordinate with senior Application Engineers for complex deployments.

2. First-Level Technical Support & Troubleshooting

- Provide basic troubleshooting support related to installation errors,



activation issues, performance concerns, and modeling queries.
- Offer remote support through calls, emails, and screen-sharing tools.
- Escalate advanced technical issues to senior engineers when required.
- Maintain proper documentation of support cases and solutions in internal systems.

3. Basic Training & Customer Enablement

- Deliver basic-level training sessions (online/offline) covering:
- Part Modeling
- Assembly Modeling
- Drawing Creation
- Basic Best Practices in SOLIDWORKS
- Assist senior engineers during advanced training programs.
- Support preparation of training materials, practice files, and user guides.

4. On-Site Customer Support

- Visit client locations for installation, troubleshooting, and post-installation assistance.
- Support smooth transition from sales handover to technical implementation.
- Ensure customers are comfortable with basic software usage post-installation.

5. Learning & Development

- Undergo structured internal training on SOLIDWORKS products and support processes.
- Work towards achieving SOLIDWORKS certifications (CSWA preferred within initial tenure).
- Continuously upgrade knowledge on CAD tools, mechanical design concepts, and industry practices.

Key Skills & Competencies

- Basic knowledge of SOLIDWORKS (Academic exposure preferred).
- Strong understanding of Mechanical Engineering fundamentals.
- Good problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Basic knowledge of Windows OS and computer hardware configuration.
- Positive communication and presentation skills.
- Willingness to travel for client visits.
- Eagerness to learn and grow in a technical customer-facing role.

Preferred Skills

- Internship or project experience using SOLIDWORKS.
- CSWA certification (added advantage).
- Exposure to CAD design projects during academics.

Pay: ₹15,000.00 - ₹25,000.00 per month
