About the Role

Sawar Mal Agarwal & Co. is looking for a dedicated and experienced Audit Manager to join our Kolkata office. The ideal candidate should be capable of independently managing audit and taxation assignments, leading teams, and delivering quality professional services to clients across various industries.

Key Responsibilities

* Plan, execute, and supervise Statutory Audits, Internal Audits, and Tax Audits.

* Lead audit teams and ensure timely completion of assignments while maintaining quality standards.

* Review financial statements and ensure compliance with applicable accounting and regulatory requirements.

* Evaluate internal controls and recommend process improvements.

* Prepare audit reports, management reports, and other engagement deliverables.

* Handle Income Tax matters, including tax audits, assessments, notices, and advisory assignments.

* Manage GST compliance, GST audits, reconciliations, departmental notices, and advisory services.

* Coordinate with clients, regulatory authorities, and internal teams.

* Supervise, mentor, and train article assistants and junior staff.

* Ensure compliance with the Companies Act, Income Tax Act, GST laws, and ICAI Standards.

Eligibility

* Chartered Accountant (CA), or

* CA Intermediate with a minimum of 3–4 years of relevant experience after passing CA Intermediate,



preferably in a Chartered Accountancy firm.

Skills & Experience

* Hands-on experience in conducting Statutory Audits, Internal Audits, and Tax Audits.

* Mandatory working knowledge of Income Tax and GST.

* Ability to independently handle audit and taxation assignments.

* Sound understanding of the Companies Act, Accounting Standards, and auditing procedures.

* Strong analytical, communication, and report-writing skills.

* Leadership ability with experience in managing and guiding teams.

* Proficiency in MS Excel, Tally Prime, and other accounting/audit software.

Reporting

The selected candidate will report directly to the Partner and will be responsible for managing audit engagements, taxation assignments, and client relationships while ensuring timely and high-quality service delivery.

Pay: ₹40,000.00 - ₹50,000.00 per month
