Senior Technician ROV/UUV (Electrical & Electronics)

Location: Chennai (Office & Field)

About the Role

We are looking for a hands-on Electrical/Electronics Technician to support the maintenance, testing, troubleshooting, and assembly of advanced underwater robotic systems such as ROVs and UUVs. The role involves a combination of office and field work, including travel to ports, offshore locations, industrial plants, and customer sites.

Key Responsibilities

- Perform preventive, corrective, and breakdown maintenance of ROVs, UUVs, and their subsystems.
- Troubleshoot and resolve electrical, electronic, and mechanical issues.
- Test, repair, and solder PCBs and electronic components.
- Carry out electrical and mechanical assembly of robotic systems and equipment.
- Use testing instruments, hand tools, and power tools for maintenance and repairs.
- Maintain service reports, maintenance records, and technical documentation.
- Support inventory management, spare parts handling, equipment packing, and mobilization for field operations.




- Follow safety procedures and ensure compliance during all office and field activities.
- Coordinate with internal teams and vendors to support technical operations and project execution.

Eligibility

- Diploma or BE/B.Tech in Electrical & Electronics Engineering (EEE), Electronics & Communication Engineering (ECE), Mechatronics, or a related discipline.
- 1–4 years of experience in electrical/electronics maintenance, field service, industrial equipment, robotics, or similar technical roles.
- Freshers with solid practical skills and a willingness to learn are also encouraged to apply.
