Role & responsibilities

Customer Service

- Welcome customers and understand their baking requirements.
- Recommend suitable baking ingredients, tools, packaging, and accessories.
- Upsell and cross-sell products to increase average bill value.
- Resolve customer queries and complaints professionally.

Sales
- Promote new arrivals, seasonal products, and ongoing offers.
- Encourage repeat purchases and customer loyalty.

Store Operations
- Maintain cleanliness and visual merchandising of the store.
- Ensure shelves are fully stocked and products are properly displayed.
- Arrange products according to category and planograms.
- Check expiry dates and remove damaged or expired products.

Billing & Cash Handling
- Operate POS billing software accurately.
- Handle cash, UPI, card, and other payment methods.
- Maintain accurate cash records and end-of-day reconciliation.

Inventory Management
- Receive and verify incoming stock.
- Update inventory in the system.
- Report low-stock and fast-moving items.
- Conduct regular stock counts and assist during audits.

Order Fulfilment
- Process online and WhatsApp orders.




- Pack products carefully for courier and local delivery.
- Coordinate with delivery partners to ensure timely dispatch.

Product Knowledge
- Stay updated on baking ingredients, tools, chocolates, cake decorations, packaging, and recent product launches.
- Guide beginners as well as professional bakers in selecting the right products.

Customer Relationship
- Build long-term relationships with home bakers, bakery owners, and institutes.
- Collect customer feedback and share suggestions with management.
- Maintain customer database for promotions and follow-ups.

Marketing Support
- Inform customers about workshops, offers, memberships, and loyalty programs.
- Encourage customers to follow Homebakers Mart on social media.
- Assist in in-store promotional activities.

Teamwork
- Coordinate with warehouse and purchase teams for stock availability.
- Support colleagues during busy hours and festive seasons.
- Follow company SOPs and maintain discipline.
