Role Description The Research Associate – Patent Drafting is a full time, on-site role based in Bengaluru. This position involves:

- drafting high-quality patent applications based on technical disclosures, conducting prior art and patentability searches, and analyzing technical documents, standards, and existing patents.
- collaborating with inventors and internal teams to clarify technical concepts, preparing legal and technical documentation,



and supporting patent prosecution activities as required.
- contribute to IP strategy discussions, maintain accurate records of research and drafting work, and ensure adherence to applicable legal and procedural standards.

Qualifications Strong foundation in STEM and familiarity with intellectual property and patent regulations.

Excellent Analytical Skills to interpret technical concepts, evaluate prior art, and assess patentability.

Proficiency in Legal Document Preparation, including drafting patent specifications, claims, and related filings.

Effective Communication skills for working with inventors, attorneys, and cross-functional teams.

Solid Research skills for conducting patent searches, reviewing scientific/technical literature, and compiling evidence-based reports.

Relevant technical degree (e.g., engineering or science) and/or legal qualification in IP or patent law.

Attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and ability to manage multiple drafting projects and deadlines.

Prior experience or internship in patent drafting, IP consultancy, or technology law is an advantage.
