Role Description The Registered Pharmacist will work full time on-site at Mind and Brain Hospital in Bangalore Urban, supporting secure and effective medication management for psychiatric and neurological patients. Day-to-day responsibilities include dispensing medications as per prescriptions, ensuring accurate dosage and labeling, and providing clear counseling to patients and caregivers on medication usage, side effects, and adherence. The role involves maintaining prescription records, monitoring stock levels, managing inventory, and checking expiry dates to comply with regulatory standards and hospital policies.

The pharmacist will collaborate closely with psychiatrists, physicians, nurses,



and other clinical staff to review medication orders, support treatment plans, and contribute to overall patient safety. Additional tasks may include participating in quality assurance activities, assisting in formulary management, and supporting patient education initiatives related to psychotropic and other medications.

Qualifications

Valid registration with the Karnataka State Pharmacy Council and eligibility to practice as a Registered Pharmacist.

B.Pharm or D.Pharm from a recognized institution, with solid academic grounding in pharmacology, pharmaceutics, and clinical pharmacy.

Experience in hospital or clinical pharmacy settings; exposure to psychiatric or neuro care environments is an advantage.

Sound knowledge of prescription interpretation, drug interactions, dosage calculations, and medication safety protocols.

Ability to maintain accurate records, manage inventory, and comply with relevant pharmacy and healthcare regulations.

Strong communication skills for patient counseling, caregiver education, and collaboration with multidisciplinary clinical teams.

Attention to detail, ethical conduct, and a patient-centered approach aligned with compassionate mental health care.

Willingness to work rotational shifts, including weekends and holidays, as required by hospital operations.

Basic computer skills for using hospital information systems and electronic medical records.
