- Material Evaluation & Testing: Execute incoming inspection plans against engineering drawings using precision tools (Micrometers, Height Gauges, Verniers, TPG).
- Defect & NCR Management: Identify, isolate, and quarantine non-conforming materials. Issue Non-Conformance Reports (NCR) and manage material disposition.
- Supplier Collaboration: Work with suppliers to investigate root causes of defective shipments and oversee Corrective and Preventive Actions (CAPA).
- Documentation Control: Review and approve supplier documentation, including Certificates of Conformance (CoC), Material Test Reports (MTR), and First Article Inspection (FAI) records.
- Process Optimization: Continually update inspection instructions, boundary standards, and sampling plans (AQL) to improve efficiency.
- Data & Metrics: Track key performance indicators (KPIs)
such as supplier defect rates, inspection turnaround times, and NCR closure rates.
Required Technical Skills:
- Solid ability to read blueprints and interpret GD&T; specifications.
- Deep understanding of PPAP processes, MSA, SPC, and 7 QC Tools.
- Familiarity with Quality Management Systems (ISO 9001 / IATF 16949).
- Knowledge of Lean tools (Kaizen, Poka-Yoke, Continual Improvements).
- Hands-on experience with ERP systems and digital quality metrics
Preferred candidate profile Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical, Industrial, or Manufacturing Engineering. 2 to 6 years of experience in Machining Part, Sheet Matel and Moulding Part Inspection.
