Key Responsibilities Estimate Preparation o Analyze project plans specifications and drawings to understand the scope of work o Prepare detailed cost estimates for materials labor equipment and subcontractor services o Review and assess tender documents contracts and other related documentation Cost Analysis o Conduct cost comparison and analysis of subcontractor and supplier quotes Identify potential cost-saving opportunities without compromising quality Develop and maintain a cost database for bench marking and future reference Quantity Takeoffs o Perform accurate quantity takeoffs for materials required for each phase of the project o Measure and calculate the total quantities of materials labor and equipment needed Risk Management o Identify and assess potential risks that could impact project costs o Develop strategies to mitigate risks and ensure cost control throughout the project lifecycle o Reporting and Documentation o Prepare and present detailed reports on project estimates budgets and timelines to stakeholders o Maintain accurate records of all estimates contracts and correspondence o Update estimates as project scopes change or current information becomes available Collaboration o Work closely with project managers engineers and architects to ensure alignment on project goals and budgets o Liaise with suppliers subcontractors and other external parties to obtain competitive pricing and ensure project requirements are met Qualifications Bachelor s degree in Quantity Surveying Civil Engineering Construction Management or a related field 4 - 5 years of experience in quantity estimating cost estimation or quantity surveying in the construction industry Proficiency in estimating software and strong skills in Microsoft Excel Strong understanding of construction methods materials and industry standards Excellent analytical mathematical and problem-solving skills Strong attention to detail and accuracy in calculations Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines Strong communication and interpersonal skills Job Type Full-time Pay 35 000 00 - 50 000 00 per month Work Location In person
