Job Title: Manager – Quality Assurance / Quality Control

Reports To: Plant Manager / Operations Manager and Leadership Team (Matrix Structure)

Location: HMDA Truck Logistics, Abdullapurmet, Rangareddy Dist-501512 Telangana, India.

Role s Purpose To lead and strengthen the organization’s Quality Management System (QMS) and Food Safety Management System (FSMS), ensuring full regulatory compliance, product integrity, customer satisfaction, and continuous improvement across manufacturing operations.

Key Functional Responsibilities

1. Quality Control Operations

· Oversee day-to-day laboratory operations and in-process quality checks.

· Ensure testing of raw materials, packaging materials, and finished products as per approved specifications.

· Approve or reject incoming materials and finished batches based on validated results.

· Maintain calibration and preventive maintenance of laboratory instruments (pH meter, moisture analyzer, salt meter, etc.).

· Conduct sensory evaluations and microbiological analysis as per standards.

· Maintain accurate testing records, Certificates of Analysis (COAs), and retain samples.

- Quality Systems s Compliance

· Develop, implement, and continuously improve QMS and FSMS frameworks.

· Manage documentation control including SOPs, change control, deviations, CAPA, and internal audits.

· Ensure compliance with statutory and customer standards including FSSAI, U.S. Food and Drug Administration, BRCGS, FSSC 22000, and ISO 22000.

· Lead internal and external audits, mock recalls, and traceability exercises.

· Approve product labels, specifications, and packaging artwork for regulatory compliance.

- Food Safety s Risk Management

· Implement and monitor HACCP plans,



allergen control programs, and traceability systems.

· Drive GMP, hygiene, and sanitation practices across the shop floor.

· Conduct supplier audits and evaluate vendor performance based on quality metrics.

· Investigate customer complaints, perform root cause analysis, and implement corrective and preventive actions.

- Cross-Functional Collaboration s Improvement

· Partner with Production, NPD, Procurement, and Operations teams to resolve non-conformance issues.

· Support system implementation and process improvement initiatives.

· Facilitate continuous improvement projects aligned with operational excellence goals.

Core Functional Competencies

· Strong expertise in FSSC 22000, BRCGS, and ISO 22000 systems.

· In-depth knowledge of food safety regulations and statutory compliance.

· Proficiency in audit management, documentation control, and risk assessment.

· Laboratory management and analytical testing capabilities.

· HACCP implementation and allergen management expertise.

Qualification samp; Experience:

· B. Tech / B.Sc, M.Tech / M.Sc. in Food Technology or Food Science.

· 8–12 years of experience in above
