Position: Quality Manager

We are seeking an experienced Quality Manager to lead our Foundry Quality function and drive excellence across all manufacturing processes. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in automotive foundries, customer quality, quality systems, and continuous improvement, with the ability to lead a team and work closely with OEM and Tier-1 customers.

Key Responsibilities

- Lead and manage the Quality Assurance and Quality Control for the green sand foundry.
- Ensure compliance with IATF 16949, customer-specific requirements, and internal quality standards.
- Develop, implement, and continuously improve quality systems, procedures, and process controls.
- Interface with OEM and Tier-1 customers for quality reviews, customer audits, PPAP submissions, complaint resolution, and new product development.
- Lead customer complaint investigations using 8D, Why-Why Analysis, Fishbone, and other structured problem-solving methodologies.
- Drive reduction in rejection, rework, and customer PPM through continuous improvement initiatives.
- Monitor foundry process quality, including melting, metal chemistry, moulding, sand properties, core making, pouring, fettling, and final inspection.




- Review and approve quality documentation, including PPAP, APQP, PFMEA, Control Plans, SPC, MSA, and Work Instructions.
- Plan and conduct internal quality audits and coordinate third-party and customer audits.
- Lead, mentor, and develop the Quality team while promoting a culture of quality and operational excellence.
- Work closely with Production, Process Engineering, Maintenance, and Supply Chain teams to improve process capability and product quality.
- Analyze quality metrics, prepare management reports, and present improvement initiatives to senior leadership.

Candidate Profile

- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Metallurgical, Production, or related Engineering.
- Minimum 3-5 years of experience in automotive foundry quality, with at least 2 years in a managerial or team leadership role.
- Strong experience in green sand foundry operations and quality management.
- Hands-on knowledge of IATF 16949, PPAP, APQP, PFMEA, SPC, MSA, 8D, and customer-specific quality requirements.
- Experience handling OEM and Tier-1 automotive customers, customer audits, and quality reviews.
- Positive understanding of foundry processes, metal chemistry, sand testing, casting defects, metallurgical testing, and dimensional inspection.
- Proficiency in engineering drawings, GD&T;, and precision measuring instruments.
- Strong leadership, analytical, communication, and decision-making skills.
- Ability to lead cross-functional quality improvement initiatives in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
