About the Role

This candidate will be responsible end-to-end functional & regression testing of the Life Insurance platform, covering Retail & Group Line of Business across Recent Business workflows, Pre & Post Issuance service requests using Watermelon test management tool.

Experience 7–10 Years | Domain: Life Insurance | Location: Mumbai

Responsibilities

- Perform problem identification, resolution, loss reporting and continuous improvement
- Design and implement methods for process control, process improvement, testing and inspection
- Develop, execute, and analyze quality reporting measures
- Participate in internal and external quality audits

Qualifications

- B.E/B.Tech/BCA/MBA
- ISTQB Foundation certification preferred

Required Skills

- Functional Testing, Regression Testing, SIT, UAT Support, Boundary Value Analysis, Equivalence Partitioning
- Understanding of Retail Life products — Term, ULIP, Endowment, Annuity
- Hands-on knowledge of Pre-Issuance (policy document check, free look, premium validation) & Post-Issuance Service Requests — Nomination change, Address update, Premium redirection, Surrender, Revival, Claim intimation
- Group Life products — GTL, GTLI, Credit Life, Group Annuity
- Master policy vs individual certificate structures




- Group onboarding & member addition flows
- End-to-End workflow testing
- Defect life cycle management
- Test data preparation & traceability matrix
- Hands-on experience with Watermelon test management tool
- Create & manage test cases, test plans, test cycles
- Map requirements to test cases, log & track defects
- Generate test execution & coverage reports
- Strong analytical & documentation skills
- Ability to coordinate with Business Analysts, Developers & UAT teams

Preferred Skills

- Strong understanding of New Business workflow — Proposal Entry, Quality Check (QC), Underwriting (manual & auto), Reinsurance treaty & facultative, Medical underwriting (requirements, decisions), Financial underwriting (income, DSCR, NW validation)
- Domain Knowledge – Issuance & Services
- Exposure to API testing (Postman/REST)
- Basic SQL for data validation
- Knowledge of IRDAI regulations & policy issuance compliance
- Experience with Agile/Scrum ceremonies
- Prior experience in BAW / workflow-based application testing
