Job Title: Senior Engineer - QA/QC (Heavy Fabrication)

About the Role:

We are looking for a hands-on Senior Quality Engineer to take over the QA/QC functions for our heavy fabrication and process equipment division. You will be responsible for ensuring our reactors, pressure vessels, and heat exchangers etc meet strict design codes and client specs. This is a role for someone who is comfortable spending time on the shop floor, handling third-party inspectors, and managing documentation from raw material receipt to final dispatch.

:

- Stage Inspection: Carry out regular visual and dimensional checks on heavy equipment during fit-up, welding, and final assembly.
- Welding & NDT: Monitor welding setups (TIG, MIG, SAW) against approved WPS/PQR. Work closely with NDT technicians to review radiography, UT, and DP test results.
- Material Clearance: Check incoming plates (SS 304L, 316L, and exotic alloys), forgings,



and piping components against MTRs and TC lab reports.
- Codes & Standards: Ensure all work on the floor aligns with ASME Section VIII (Div 1 & 2), ASME B31.3, and standard manufacturing tolerances.
- TPIA Coordination: Act as the main point of contact for third-party inspection agencies for stage clearances and final hydro testing.
- Quality Documentation: Maintain the Quality Assurance Plan (QAP) for client handover.

Qualifications and Skills:

- B.E. / B.Tech in Mechanical or Production Engineering.
- 8+ years of solid QC experience specifically in a heavy engineering or process equipment manufacturing shop.
- Robust grip on reading fabrication drawings, welding symbols, and structural blueprints.
- A clear communicator who can handle customer audits and resolve floor-level issues effectively.

Pay: ₹9,761.74 - ₹43,301.26 per month
