QUALITY MANAGER ( Rubber Molded Components )

Company Description:

Established in 2009, Revata Engineering is a well-recognized manufacturer of precision rubber molded components, rubber-to-metal bonded parts, and engineered sealing products. The company's head office and manufacturing facility is in M.I.D.C., Bhosari, Pune. The company is ISO 9001:2015 certified and operates its own NABL accredited testing laboratory.

Role Description:

We are seeking an experienced Quality Manager to head the quality department at our plant, with a robust focus on rubber molded and rubber-to-metal bonded components .

The person will own the complete quality management system - documentation, implementation, and audits - and will be responsible for quality right from incoming rubber compound to final dispatch. The role includes leading the QC inspectors and lab technicians working across shifts. This is a hands-on role, and we expect the person to spend time on the shop floor, not only in reports and meetings.

Key Responsibilities:

· Own the ISO 9001:2015 quality management system across the company, including document control, internal audits, CAPA, and management review.

· Prepare and maintain all QMS documentation independently - quality manual, procedures, work instructions, control plans, formats, and records.

· Face customer audits, certification audits, and product standard audits; prepare PPAP documents and audit files wherever required.

· Check and approve incoming rubber compounds on rheometer, hardness, and specific gravity before release to production.

· Inspect metal inserts, bonding agents, and other bought-out items, and follow up with suppliers on rejections and corrective actions.





· Give first-off approval at every mold setup across compression, transfer, and injection molding.

· Carry out patrol inspection during production as per the control plan.

· Work with production to reduce molding defects such as flash, short fill, blisters, backrind, air traps, bonding failure, and contamination.

· Conduct final dimensional inspection as per drawing and ISO 3302-1 tolerance classes.

· Run the in-house NABL accredited laboratory, covering tensile, elongation, hardness, compression set, specific gravity, ageing, and rheometry as per ASTM and ISO methods.

· Prepare test certificates and Certificates of Conformance for dispatches.

· Keep all instruments and gauges under calibration as per schedule.

· Handle customer complaints, carry out root cause analysis (8D), and close CAPAs on time.

· Prepare the monthly quality report covering rejection, rework, PPM, and cost of poor quality.

· Train inspectors and operators using limit samples and visual standards.

Who Should Apply:

Candidates who have managed the quality department of a rubber parts molding company and can run the QMS independently - documentation, implementation, and audits. The person should be comfortable working closely with production, engineering, customers, and suppliers in a manufacturing environment. Experience with molded sealing products will be an added advantage.

Office Timings: Monday - Saturday (8:30 AM to 5:30 PM)

Remuneration: CTC will be as per industry standard.
