We are looking for an experienced and independent Quality Assurance Manager to lead the entire Quality function of our toothbrush manufacturing facility. This role carries complete ownership of the Quality Management System (QMS), compliance, audits, and quality culture across the organization. The successful candidate must have the confidence and integrity to make independent quality decisions, including stopping production, rejecting materials, or blocking dispatches whenever quality standards are not met.

The role reports directly to the Managing Director and functions independently of production and factory management.

Important

Minimum 10 years of hands-on experience in Quality Assurance.

Industry Preferred : Toothbrush manufacturing, plastics, personal care, FMCG, medical devices, or similar.

Key Responsibilities:

- QMS: Lead and continuously improve the companys Quality Management System.
- Compliance: Ensure compliance with ISO 9001, ISO 13485, BRCGS, GMP, customer requirements, and other applicable standards.
- Audits: Plan and lead internal, customer, certification, and regulatory audits.
- SOPs: Develop, implement, maintain, and ensure effective execution of quality-related SOPs, procedures, work instructions, and documentation across the shop floor.
- Monitoring: Ensure adherence to approved SOPs and quality processes through regular monitoring and training.
- Inspection: Oversee incoming, in-process, and finished product quality.
- CAPA: Lead investigations, root cause analysis, CAPA implementation, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Operations Control: Manage supplier quality, customer complaints, quality KPIs, calibration systems, and documentation.
- People: Recruit, mentor, train, and develop the Quality team while fostering a strong quality-first culture.

Leadership & Authority:



The Quality Assurance Manager is expected to operate as an independent quality authority and report directly to the Managing Director. The role includes the authority to:

- Stop Production: Halt operations where quality is compromised.
- Reject Materials: Reject incoming materials, work-in-progress, or finished goods that do not meet specifications.
- Block Dispatches: Hold or block customer dispatches until quality requirements are met.
- Direct Escalation: Escalate quality concerns directly to the Managing Director without requiring approval from factory or production management.

Skills & Competencies:

- QMS Knowledge: Thorough understanding of Quality Management Systems and international quality standards.
- Audit Execution: Hands-on experience with ISO 9001, ISO 13485, BRCGS audits and implementation.
- Core QA Tools: Strong knowledge of CAPA, FMEA, SPC, 8D, 5 Why, and root cause analysis.
- Soft Skills: Excellent leadership, communication, documentation, and problem-solving skills.
- Mindset: High integrity, sound judgment, and the confidence to uphold quality standards under operational pressure.
- Execution: Strong ability to build systems, train teams, and drive continuous improvement.

Experience Required:

- Leadership: Proven experience leading quality teams and managing quality systems independently.
- Operations: Robust floor-level experience in manufacturing and quality operations is essential.

- Education: Any Graduate candidates can apply.
- Priority: Practical manufacturing experience, technical expertise, and leadership ability will be given significantly higher importance than formal qualifications.

Success in This Role: The ideal candidate will independently lead the quality function, build a robust quality culture, ensure audit readiness at all times, strengthen systems and SOP compliance, and consistently deliver products that meet customer, regulatory, and company quality standards.
