QA Team Lead

Position Summary The QA Team Lead is responsible for leading quality assurance activities across multiple enterprise applications supporting asset management, trading, operations, investor reporting, risk management, infrastructure, and backoffice functions. This role ensures software quality through strategic test planning, test automation, AIenabled testing practices, release validation, and close collaboration with business and technology stakeholders.

The QA Team Lead will manage testing efforts throughout the Software Development Life Cycle, mentor QA analysts and automation engineers, drive continuous improvement initiatives, and ensure the delivery of highquality technology solutions that meet business, regulatory, operational, and risk management requirements.

This role requires a handson leader who can balance daytoday QA delivery with longterm transformation initiatives, including automation modernization, CI/CD integration, Playwright adoption, AIassisted test design, and datadriven quality reporting.

Responsibilities

- Lead endtoend QA delivery across multiple applications, projects, releases, and infrastructure initiatives.
- Develop, own, and execute comprehensive test strategies, test plans, test scenarios, and test cases aligned with business and technical requirements.
- Manage functional, regression, integration, API, database, UAT, smoke, sanity, and production validation testing activities.
- Establish QA best practices, standards, governance processes, quality checkpoints, and release readiness criteria.
- Drive quality gates throughout the SDLC, Agile delivery process, and release lifecycle to reduce production risk and improve delivery confidence.
- Partner with business analysts, developers, product owners, infrastructure teams, DevOps, operations, and business stakeholders to ensure testing priorities are aligned with business impact.
- Validate applications and workflows supporting asset management, trading, reporting, risk, accounting, reconciliation, and enterprise technology functions.
- Ensure accurate validation of data, financial calculations, reports,



interfaces, batch jobs, business rules, and downstream system impacts.
- Lead defect management activities including defect identification, prioritization, triage, root cause analysis, retesting, and closure.
- Mentor, guide, and support QA analysts and automation engineers across manual testing, automation, domain knowledge, test design, and quality engineering practices.
- Drive automationfirst practices by identifying automation opportunities across regression, sanity, smoke, web services, infrastructure patching, and repetitive validation activities.
- Lead the design, enhancement, and adoption of scalable automation frameworks using Playwright and other modern automation tools.
- Integrate automated test execution into CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps, or similar platforms.
- Drive the adoption of AIpowered testing solutions to improve test coverage, testing efficiency, defect detection, script creation, and release confidence.
- Leverage Generative AI and Agentic AI capabilities to accelerate test case generation, requirements analysis, test data preparation, defect analysis, automation script development, and documentation.
- Establish responsible and secure AI usage practices for QA activities, ensuring appropriate handling of sensitive business, application, and test data.
- Analyze QA metrics including test execution progress, defect trends, automation coverage, production defects, release stability, and team productivity.
- Create and maintain QA dashboards and executivelevel reporting to provide visibility into quality, risk, automation progress, and operational improvements.
- Collaborate with offshore and onshore QA team members to ensure effective coordination,



knowledge sharing, accountability, and delivery consistency.
- Participate in production deployments, infrastructure patch validations, postrelease checks, and issue resolution activities as needed.
- Promote a culture of quality ownership, innovation, accountability, collaboration, and continuous learning across the QA team.

Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
- 7+ years of Quality Assurance experience.
- 3+ years of experience in a QA Lead, QA Team Lead, Senior QA, or Quality Engineering leadership role.
- Experience supporting asset management firms, investment management, mortgage servicing, financial services, or enterprise technology environments.
- Strong experience leading QA activities across multiple applications, projects, and releases.
- Proven ability to lead onshore and offshore QA teams.
- Strong understanding of SDLC, Agile, DevOps, release management, and software quality practices.
- Handson experience with test planning, test case design, test execution, defect management, regression testing, and release validation.
- Experience testing web applications, APIs, databases, batch processes, integrations, and enterprise platforms.
- Robust SQL and data validation skills.
- Experience with Jira, Azure DevOps, or similar test management and ALM tools.
- Experience with automation frameworks and modern quality engineering practices.
- Strong communication, coordination, leadership, analytical, and problemsolving skills.
