- Preparation of Project Inspection Test Plan, Method Statements and QC Procedures according to scope of work and tender documents.
- Preparation of WPS, PQR, WQT, project quality plans, QA/QC procedures and liaise with the client for timely approval of the same.
- Facilitate inspections during procurement and construction phase of the project as per requirement not limited to reviewing documentation as per specifications,
supervising fit-up, welding consumables, welding process etc.
- Witness and monitor the site inspection activities and review the daily inspection reports.
- Preparation/ review of NDT and PWHT procedures, Material Certificates and
Equipment Test Certificates. (FAT)
- Liaise with project HO & site team, Sub-Contractors & Client Representatives and to lead a team of qualified QC Engineers/inspectors at site.
- Monitor Welder repair rate and NDT % coverage for welding as per client requirement.
- Maintain all Quality Related Documents and prepare final dossiers of the project.
- Resolution of NCR issues during construction phase .
- Organize and Coordinate for PWHT, NDT and PMI as and when required.
- Co-ordinate in preparation of punch list, remarks and red mark up for as built drawing to construction team.
- Witness Paint/holiday test, Pneumatic/ Hydro pressure Test.
- Monitor and witness welding parameters for the processes such as SMAW, GTAW,
GMAW & SAW as applicable.
- RT films interpretation and reports review as per project specification and standard.
- Witness pneumatic, hydro test etc. as per the specification and client requirements.
- Witness mechanical testing as applicable (Tensile, Impact, Hardness, Elongation,
Chemical (spectro) & micro test).
- Conducting the periodic audits to identify the weaknesses in process and coordinate for corrective actions with process owners for improvement as well as investigations
& compliance review
Requirements and Qualifications
- Bachelors/ Diploma degree in Mechanical (minimum).
- 6-10 years of experience in a QA/QC environment in the field of construction of API
650/620 tanks, pipelines and structural works, with at least 2 years in a managerial role.
- Prior experience in Tank Fabrication and pipeline projects.
- Valuable time management and planning skills
