Position Summary

We are looking for an experienced Purchase Manager with a minimum of 10 years of experience in the machine manufacturing industry. The candidate should have robust expertise in procurement of machine parts and engineering components, with proven experience in supplier and vendor management, strategic sourcing, commercial negotiations, and handling both direct and indirect procurement.

Key Responsibilities

- Manage procurement of machine parts, engineering components, and production materials.
- Develop, evaluate, and manage suppliers and vendors to ensure quality, cost, and timely deliveries.
- Build long-term supplier relationships and identify alternate vendors for critical components.
- Lead commercial negotiations, annual rate contracts, and cost optimization initiatives.
- Handle indirect procurement including MRO items, consumables, tools, services, IT, and facility requirements.
- Coordinate with Production, Planning, Quality, Stores,



and Finance to ensure uninterrupted material availability.
- Monitor supplier performance and drive continuous improvement in quality, delivery, and cost.
- Prepare and establish procurement SOPs and guidelines and ensure compliance with procurement policies, ERP processes, and statutory requirements.

Desired Candidate Profile

- Minimum 10 years of procurement experience in machine manufacturing, heavy engineering, or industrial machinery.
- Strong expertise in supplier and vendor management, strategic sourcing, and commercial negotiations.
- Experience in both direct and indirect procurement.
- Good understanding of engineering drawings, machine components, and manufacturing processes.
- Proficient in ERP systems (SAP) and Microsoft Excel.
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical/Production Engineering; MBA in Supply Chain is preferred.
