Role & responsibilities
Manager Project will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of a civil infrastructure project to ensure the quality is of high standard, to ensure that work is completed on time and within budget. You will provide leadership to strategically mitigate risk, monitor finances and ensure each phase of work is started or completed on time.
You are also required to create strategic and operational plan for each major project and monitors and reports on the programme and financial goals. As a manager, update the company and external stakeholders on project progress, changes from original plans, and existing or emerging risks.
You must develop, track, and evaluate project progress on regular basis. The position administers a large and diverse team of professional, technical, support staff, and contractors, both directly and indirectly, through managers and supervisors.
Core Responsibilities:
- Develop a timeline for the completion of project.
- Create a budget for project tasks and monitor spending within approved project resources
- Coordinate with various functions/business units and review of project progress on regular interval, recommend changes to stay within budget and time.
- Create the contractors scope and responsibilities.
- Review and monitoring of the work progress to complete the project well within time limits
- Analysing the current status with expected time and identify the GAP
- Develop an alternate plan for meeting the GAP.
- Making presentations to steering committee, investors, business partners, and company executives on regular basis
- Collecting the specification / preparation of specification, tendering out, comparative statement preparation, negotiation and finalization of the contract from end to end.
- Reviewing,
recommending and approving of proposals.
- Contacting with outside support agencies and companies with specific deliverables.
- Managing internal and external resources and follow contractual obligations and comply with the company regulations and internal organizational policies,
- Providing strategic direction, technical, operational, financial and managerial leadership to implement project activities successfully.
- Conducting regular reviews to ensure all project activities are accountable, accurate and meet the financial deliverables and obligations.
- Leading teams and managers in all aspects of a project and make strategic decisions and provide strong leadership and direction.
- Tracking project plan elements and making changes to stay on schedule
- Creating team schedules and delegating tasks appropriately
- Hiring and onboarding new managers and monitoring, auditing employee performance and identifying opportunities for improvement
- Addressing any concerns or issues identified by employees and managers.
- Monitor project progress closely, handle financial management and ensure high standards for project quality.
- To lead project meetings and lead teams to maintain high-quality work environment.
- Ability to reduce costs without reducing the quality of the project.
- Ensure highest safety measures at work sites and regular review mechanism.
- Exposure to the statutory compliance and adherence at work site.
- Travelling and expediting the supplies / monitoring site progress/ inspiring the team for collective goal completion.
Preferred candidate profile
Essentials:
- Independently Handling of minimum 3 projects on EPC basis of with a minimum project cost of Rs. 100 Cr.
- Knowledge of Civil and mechanical work execution.
- BE Civil with 18 years experience is must
