Role Description The Professor of Architecture – Amity University, Kolkata will be responsible for delivering high-quality lectures, studio-based teaching, and design critiques to undergraduate and postgraduate architecture students in a full-time, on-site role based in Hyderabad. The role includes developing and updating curriculum, supervising student projects and theses, and guiding learners in architectural design, theory, and skilled practice. The professor will conduct and publish research, contribute to academic conferences,



and collaborate with colleagues on interdisciplinary initiatives.

Additional responsibilities include mentoring students, participating in departmental and university committees, engaging with industry partners, and supporting accreditation and quality assurance processes. The professor is expected to uphold Amity’s values-driven culture and foster an inclusive, stimulating academic environment.

Qualifications

Strong expertise in Architecture and Architectural Design, with a track record of studio teaching and project supervision.

Proficiency in Landscape Architecture and Interior Design, and the ability to integrate these domains into holistic design education.

Demonstrated research skills in architecture or related fields, including publications, funded projects, or conference presentations.

Relevant academic qualifications such as a Master’s degree in Architecture (M.Arch) or higher; a Ph.D. in Architecture or allied discipline is highly desirable.

Previous experience in teaching at university level and mentoring students in design studios and dissertations.

Familiarity with contemporary architectural practices, sustainable design, building technologies, and urban development trends.

Strong communication, presentation, and academic writing skills, with the ability to teach and guide diverse learners.
