About the Role We are seeking experienced and dedicated Professor and Associate Professor candidates for the Department of General Medicine at a reputed Medical College & Teaching Hospital located in Kolar, Karnataka. The ideal candidate should possess strong academic, clinical, and research expertise and be committed to delivering high-quality medical education.

Key Responsibilities

Deliver undergraduate and postgraduate teaching as per the NMC curriculum.

Conduct lectures, clinical demonstrations, bedside teaching, and practical sessions.

Guide and mentor MBBS and postgraduate students.

Participate in departmental academic activities, seminars, CMEs, and journal clubs.

Supervise research activities and encourage publications.

Provide quality patient care in the attached teaching hospital.

Perform administrative responsibilities assigned by the Head of Department.

Ensure compliance with NMC norms and institutional policies.

Qualifications

MD/DNB in General Medicine from a recognized institution.

Registration with the National/State Medical Council.

Must meet the latest NMC eligibility criteria for the respective designation.

Experience





Relevant teaching experience as per NMC norms.

Experience in medical college teaching and clinical practice is preferred.

Skills

Excellent teaching and mentoring abilities.

Strong clinical knowledge and patient management skills.

Good communication and interpersonal skills.

Research orientation with academic publications is an added advantage.

Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary academic environment.
