Department Production Fabrication Manufacturing Experience 8 to 15 years in heavy fabrication or construction equipment manufacturing preferably in a medium to large-scale industry setup Location Gamharia Jamshedpur Jharkhand Job Purpose To lead production planning execution and continual improvement in heavy fabrication operations material preparation and new product development This role ensures timely delivery cost-efficiency and high-quality output in alignment with ASL s operational and strategic goals Key Responsibilities Manage fabrication of heavy steel components used in construction equipment and industrial machinery e g plant structures chassis rollers etc Plan and oversee all material preparation activities CNC Laser Plasma Cutting Plate Rolling V-Bending Welding etc Lead New Product Development NPD from concept to shop floor execution BOM preparation Costing Estimation Fabrication machining process planning Guide the design team on fixture jig development for both fabrication and machining Develop and validate process flows and sequences for welding fitting and machining Drive productivity using Lean Manufacturing TPM 5S and OEE improvement techniques Monitor and improve production KPIs including quality cost throughput and on-time delivery Ensure strict adherence to welding and fabrication standards ASME Sec IX AWS D1 1 ISO 5817 API 1104 Coordinate and close findings from internal external audits - ISO 9001 Safety Audits Gemba Walks Use SAP PP Module for production planning resource allocation material management and reporting Train mentor and upskill production team members to build a high-performance shop-floor culture Required Skills Competencies In-depth knowledge of CNC operations welding processes MIG TIG SAW and fabrication equipment Experience in implementing Lean Tools 5S TPM Kaizen and ensuring safety compliance Proficient in ERP systems preferably SAP and CAD software AutoCAD SolidWorks Catia Pro-E Expertise in BOM GD T cost estimation and vendor interaction Strong team leadership problem-solving and shop-floor management skills Familiarity with quality management systems and compliance frameworks ISO API ASME Qualifications B Tech in Mechanical Automobile Production Engineering Certified Welding Inspector CWI - Preferred Interested candidates may send their updated CV to (phone hidden) with subject line Application for Production Manager - Fabrication Jamshedpur Job Type Full-time Pay 70 000 00 - 111 550 00 per month Perks Health insurance Provident Fund Ability to commute relocate Jamshedpur Jharkhand Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work Preferred Work Location In person
