- 1. Technical Knowledge in Fabrication Processes.
In-depth understanding of various fabrication techniques (e.g., welding, machining, laser cutting, CNC machining). Knowledge of material properties and their applications in manufacturing.
2. Project Management:
Ability to manage and coordinate multiple production projects from design to delivery.
Understanding of project timelines, budgeting, and resource allocation
3. Problem Solving and Troubleshooting
Analytical skills to identify and resolve production issues, from machine malfunctions to inefficiencies in processes
Ability to optimize workflows, reduce scrap, and improve overall productivity.
4. Lean Manufacturing and Process Optimization
Understanding of lean principles to eliminate waste, improve process efficiency, and optimize throughput.
Familiarity with Six Sigma, Kaizen, or other process improvement methodologies.
5. Quality Control and Assurance
Knowledge of quality control procedures, inspection techniques, and understanding of quality standards (e.g., ISO, AWS D1.1, ASTM).
6. Knowledge of Health, Safety, and Environmental Regulations

Main responsibility
- Process Planning & Optimization
Develop and improve fabrication processes (cutting, welding, machining, forming, etc.) to enhance productivity and reduce waste.
- Production Supervision
Oversee day-to-day operations on the shop floor, ensuring that production targets, timelines, and quality standards are met.
- Quality Assurance
Implement and monitor quality control measures to ensure that all fabricated parts meet design specifications and standards.
- Cost & Time Efficiency
Analyze production costs, improve workflow efficiency,
and help reduce production time and material usage.
- Equipment & Tooling Management
Ensure all machines, tools, and equipment are maintained, calibrated, and operated safely and efficiently.
- Health & Safety Compliance
Enforce safety procedures and ensure the fabrication process complies with industry health, safety, and environmental regulations.

Knowledge
- Fabrication Techniques
Welding (TIG, MIG, Arc), cutting (laser, plasma, waterjet), bending, forming, machining, sheet metal work
- Material Science
