Role & responsibilities:

1. Design battery pack enclosures, modules, frames, brackets, and mounting structures
2. Develop 3D CAD models and 2D manufacturing drawings
3. Optimize designs for strength, weight, cost, and manufacturability
4. Perform tolerance stack-up and GD&T; for critical interfaces

5. Prepare EBOM and MBOM
6. Work with supplier for DFM, DFA
7. Prepare 8D report for any field failure
8. Prepare DFMEA for battery pack system
9. Prepare for IATF and ISO audits
10. Work closely with CAE/CFD engineer to get the CAE/CFD analysis of battery pack system
11. Work closely with NPD team while building proto packs.

Preferred candidate profile:

- BE/ME/MTech in Mechanical or Automobile Eng
- Minimum 8 to 10 years experience in Automotive Mechanical parts design and development
- Working experience of Catia and ProE
- Knowledge & experience of PLM, EBOM, MBOM and EBOM release system
- Hands-on experience to conduct DFM, DFS, DFA for automotive parts (battery or traction system experience is preferred)
- Knowledge of processes like stamping, casting, machining, and sheet metal fabrication
- Knowledge of CAE and CFD analysis, material properties
