CPQ / Product Configuration Engineer

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced CPQ/Product Configuration Engineer to manage and enhance product configuration, pricing, and estimating processes. The role involves maintaining the MBB (C1 Configurator), supporting engineering and estimating teams, validating complex product configurations, and ensuring accurate quotations for standard and non-standard customer requirements.

Key Duties & Responsibilities

1. Product Configuration (MBB / C1 Configurator)

- Maintain, enhance, and optimize product configuration rules within the MBB (C1 Configurator).
- Develop and update product logic, option structures, and configuration coding.
- Implement engineering and estimating updates, including:

- Alpha codes

- Pricing revisions

- New product introductions
- Troubleshoot configurator-related issues and provide support to internal and external users.
- Improve configurator functionality by expanding selectable options and minimizing manual configurations.

2. Estimating & Pricing Support

- Develop cost estimates for customer-specific and non-standard product requests.
- Support pricing development using Bills of Materials (BOM) and labor standards.
- Collaborate with estimating teams to improve quotation accuracy and turnaround time.
- Maintain pricing integrity through regular updates to pricing structures and cost assumptions.
- Assist with special pricing requests, cost validation, and pricing analysis.

3. Applications Engineering & Design Review





- Review configurator outputs and customer-specific designs for engineering feasibility.
- Evaluate manufacturability, product performance, and compliance with engineering standards.
- Recommend alternative design solutions for non-standard or technically challenging configurations.
- Collaborate with Engineering and Estimating teams to validate complex product configurations.
- Ensure designs meet quality, safety, and manufacturing requirements.

Required Qualifications

- Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related engineering discipline.
- 8+ years of experience in Product Configuration, Manufacturing Engineering, Estimating, or Engineering Design.
- Robust mechanical engineering fundamentals with the ability to interpret engineering drawings.
- Experience with CPQ/Product Configurator platforms (MBB/C1 Configurator preferred).
- Exposure to ERP systems, pricing tools, or manufacturing systems.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and systems-thinking capabilities.
- Ability to work effectively in a cross-functional and fast-paced environment.
- Shift Timing: 3PM to 12AM
