Procurement Engineer

Job Summary The Procurement Engineer is responsible for sourcing, evaluating, and purchasing materials, equipment, and services required for engineering projects. The role ensures cost-effective procurement while maintaining quality, technical specifications, and project schedules.

The Procurement

Engineer works closely with engineering, project management, vendors, and suppliers to ensure timely delivery and compliance with company standards.

Key Responsibilities

- Review engineering drawings, specifications, and material requisitions.

- Prepare and issue Requests for Quotation (RFQs) to approved suppliers.

- Evaluate technical and commercial bids and prepare bid comparison reports.

- Negotiate pricing, delivery schedules, payment terms, and contract conditions.

- Select qualified suppliers based on quality, cost, and delivery performance.

- Prepare purchase orders and monitor order execution until final delivery.

- Coordinate with engineering, project,



quality, and logistics teams to ensure procurement requirements are met.

- Monitor supplier performance and resolve delivery or quality issues.

- Ensure compliance with company procurement policies and contractual requirements.

- Maintain procurement records, supplier databases, and documentation.

- Identify cost-saving opportunities through strategic sourcing and supplier negotiations.

- Track procurement schedules and provide regular status updates to project teams.

Qualifications

- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Industrial Engineering.

- 35 years of procurement experience in engineering, manufacturing.

- Knowledge of procurement processes, contract management, and supplier evaluation.

- Familiarity with engineering materials, equipment, and technical specifications.
