Overview
Engineering role responsible for the implementation of new manufacturing processes and production lines at the Sri City manufacturing site. The Industrial / Process Engineer leads new medical device product introductions and capacity expansion across automation, assembly, and printing operations with a focus on quality and efficiency. Ideal for an analytical, hands-on engineer who thrives at the intersection of process, equipment, and people in a regulated manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Process Design & Improvement
- Design, document, and improve manufacturing processes for, automation, assembly, and printing operations.
- Define cycle times, line balancing, and capacity models to meet production and ramp-up targets.
- Lead continuous improvement initiatives using lean, Six Sigma, and structured problem-solving methodologies.
Industrialisation & Current Product Introduction
- Support new product introduction (NPI) including process development, line layout, and equipment specification.
- Develop work instructions, process flow diagrams, and standard operating procedures.
- Plan and execute process validation activities (IQ/OQ/PQ) in collaboration with quality and production.
Equipment & Automation
- Specify, evaluate, and support commissioning of production equipment, fixtures, and automation.
- Support tooling and fixture design in collaboration with assembly and automation teams.
- Drive engineering change control for process and equipment modifications.
Quality & Compliance
- Ensure all process documentation meets ISO 13485 and internal quality standards.
- Contribute to root cause analysis, CAPAs, and risk assessments (PFMEA).
- Maintain validated processes and accurate process records.

Personal
- Analytical and methodical, with a strong bias toward data-driven decisions.
- Hands-on and pragmatic; comfortable working on the shop floor.
Technical
- Strong grounding in lean manufacturing, line balancing, and cycle time optimisation.
- Proficiency in SPC, DOE, and PFMEA for robust process development.
- Understanding of validation (IQ/OQ/PQ) in regulated manufacturing.
- Hands-on experience with equipment specification, automation systems, and controls integration.
- Familiarity with assembly and/or printing processes in high-precision environments.
- Competence in data analysis tools and ERP/MES systems.
Qualifications
- Degree in Industrial, Manufacturing, Mechanical, or Production Engineering.
- Minimum 4 years of experience in a process or industrial engineering role in manufacturing, preferably medical device or high-precision.
- Green Belt / Black Belt certification or formal lean training preferred.
- Professional proficiency in English required.
- Proficiency in Telugu and/or Tamil required.
