Role Overview:

Velocious is a Sourcing & Supplier Experience Solution for mid-to-large enterprises. The category —eSourcing, procurement, accounts payable etc.— has been defined for over two decades by incumbents.These platforms are systems of record: comprehensive, deeply entrenched, and slow. ‍ They werearchitected before large language models existed, and they bolt AI on as a feature rather than buildingoperations around it.Our wedge is structural, not cosmetic. We are building S2P as a system of record and a system ofintelligence at the same time, where agentic and generative AI re-architect the workflow itself rather thandecorating it with a copilot.We are not bolting a chatbot onto a legacy product. ‍

We are re-imagining how procurement work getsdone when agents do the busywork, a low-code fabric lets the business configure its own logic, andhumans make the decisions that matter. That platform needs an architect who has done the hard versionof this before and wants to do the harder version next.This is a builder's seat, not a slide-deck seat. ‍

You will write code, set the standards, and own thetechnical truth of the platform. If you want your fingerprints on every layer of a product that ships tomarquee enterprises, read on.

‍ What you'll own

- The platform architecture, end to end
- Own the whole stack — API layer, services, frontend, data model, and cloud infrastructure — asone coherent system, not a set of handoffs.
- Non-functional ownership — performance, availability, security, and compliance posture are yoursto define and defend.

- A low-code / no-code fabric the business can actually use

- Design the configuration layer — workflow, business rules, forms, approval matrices, anddocument logic that functional teams and customers can shape without an engineer in the loop.




- Build for safe extensibility — a metadata-driven engine where customization never forks the coreproduct or breaks an upgrade path.
- Make complexity invisible — procurement logic is genuinely intricate; your job is to express it ascomposable building blocks, not a thousand hard-coded screens.

- AI woven into the product, not sprinkled on top

- Architect for agentic workflows — design how LLM-driven agents read context, take actionsthrough tool/function calls, and stay inside guardrails and audit trails.
- Own the AI integration contracts — RAG patterns, orchestration (LangGraph and similar), vectorretrieval, prompt and context strategy, latency budgets, fallback behaviour, and cost control.
- Know AI deeply, not buzzword-deep — you understand where models are reliable, where theyhallucinate, and how to design a system that an enterprise CFO will trust.

- Technical leadership without a manager title

- Be the technical authority — the primary decision-maker on architectural choices, and the personengineers come to when a design is in doubt.
- Set the bar — coding standards, code review culture, CI/CD structure, and the project conventionsthat scale cleanly as the team grows.

Opinionated, up-to-date, and AI-first. We've made deliberate choices — and we want an architect who willchallenge them where it's right and defend them where it counts.

What We're Looking For

The non-negotiables

- 12+ years building software, with several years as a Solution Architect, Principal Engineer, or platform tech lead — and you still ship code.




- You've taken at least one multi-tenant SaaS platform from greenfield to production at real scale
- You've designed a low-code / no-code or configuration-driven layer before — metadata models, rulesengines, or workflow builders that non-engineers actually used.
- Genuine, hands-on AI depth: you've built with LLMs, RAG, and agentic patterns, and you can reasonabout reliability, latency, cost, and guardrails.
- Cloud-native on AWS — managed services, containers, autoscaling — with Docker and Kubernetesin production.
- You use AI tools (Claude and similar) as a primary collaborator for design, code, and debugging —and you have a point of view on doing it well.

What sets the best candidates apart

- Procurement, supply chain, or enterprise ERP / P2P / S2P domain experience — you've felt this painbefore.
- SAP/Oracle or other ERP integration scars
- Event-driven architecture (Kafka, SQS) and analytics platforms — data pipelines, reporting APIs, orembedded BI.
