The Head of Production is responsible for overseeing and managing the entire production process for printing and keypad manufacturing. This role ensures that production schedules are met, quality standards are maintained, and operations run efficiently. The role involves coordinating with multiple departments, managing resources, and driving continuous improvement to achieve organizational goals and customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan, organize, and supervise production activities to meet targets and deadlines.
- Respond to customer emails and queries regarding ongoing and new jobs.
- Provide production schedules, dispatch dates, and delivery timelines to customers.
- Set job completion targets and follow up with all production stages (cutting, printing, exposing, finishing).
- Prepare and issue detailed job cards as per client requirements.
- Track job progress against job cards and production plans.
- Lead and manage the production team, ensuring explicit communication of roles and responsibilities.
- Provide guidance and support to supervisors and operators.
- Efficiently manage manpower, materials, and machinery to minimize downtime.
- Coordinate with Sales for order planning and execution.
- Coordinate with Dispatch for timely delivery of finished goods.
- Work closely with Quality Engineer to ensure products meet client expectations.
- Coordinate with Accounts and Purchase departments for smooth operations.
- Coordinate with Design team for job specifications and approvals.
- Handle client communication via calls and emails for order updates.
- Identify and implement process improvements to enhance productivity and reduce costs.
- Maintain accurate records of production performance.
- Resolve production issues and manage tight deadlines effectively.
