Job Title: Plant Head

Job Purpose To lead and manage the complete operations of the Foundry and Machine Shop, ensuring achievement of production targets, quality standards, cost control, safety compliance, and continuous process improvement.

Key Responsibilities

- Lead complete Plant Operations including Foundry, Machine Shop, Maintenance, Quality, Production Planning, and Dispatch.
- Ensure achievement of daily, weekly, and monthly production targets.
- Monitor and improve productivity, OEE, machine utilization, and overall plant efficiency.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to reduce rejection, rework, and manufacturing costs.
- Oversee foundry operations including melting, moulding, core making, pouring, fettling, heat treatment, and inspection.
- Manage CNC, VMC, HMC, Grinding, SPM, and all Machine Shop operations to achieve quality and delivery targets.
- Analyze and resolve casting-related and machining-related technical issues through root cause analysis and corrective actions.
- Ensure implementation of Lean Manufacturing, Kaizen, 5S, Poka-Yoke, TPM, and Six Sigma practices.
- Coordinate with Maintenance to minimize machine breakdowns and maximize equipment availability.
- Monitor production planning, inventory, manpower utilization,



and customer delivery schedules.
- Ensure compliance with ISO/IATF standards, quality systems, statutory requirements, and safety regulations.
- Lead and develop department heads and cross-functional teams to improve performance and operational excellence.
- Review daily MIS reports and conduct regular production review meetings with department heads.
- Support Recent Product Development (NPD), process validation, and customer audits.
- Maintain budget control and improve plant profitability through cost optimization.

Required Qualification

- B.E./B.Tech or Diploma in Mechanical/Metallurgy/Production Engineering.

Experience

- 1520+ years in Foundry & Machine Shop Operations.
- Minimum 5 years in a Plant Head or Senior Operations Leadership role.
- Experience in automotive foundry/manufacturing industry is preferred.
