JOB SUMMARY
We are seeking an analytical and strategic Planning Engineer Consultant with a minimum of 5 years of specialized project controls and scheduling experience in large-scale academic and campus development projects. Operating on the client/consultancy side (PMC), you will independently audit,
review, and evaluate baseline master schedules, design-phase timelines, contractor progress submissions, delay claims, and cash flow projections across multi-building developments (academic blocks, auditoriums, research facilities, student housing, and campus infrastructure).
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Master Design & Pre-Construction Scheduling: Establish master project programs for preconstruction,
architectural design stages, statutory clearances, procurement milestones, and site handovers.
Contractor Baseline Audit & Approval: Independently review, audit, and validate Primavera P6
baseline schedules, WBS structures, logical relationships, and critical path activities submitted by main contractors.
PMC Progress Monitoring & Audit: Perform peer audits of contractor Daily/Weekly/Monthly reports, verify reported percentage completion against actual site achievements, and run Earned
Value Management (EVM) checks.
Design & Execution Sequence Oversight:
Ensure smooth logical sequencing between design deliverables, procurement lead times, MEP integration, and civil infrastructure installation.
Delay Claims & EOT Advisory: Analyze contractor Extension of Time (EOT) claims using Time
Impact Analysis (TIA); provide objective, legally sound recommendations to the client on delay responsibility.
Cash Flow & S-Curve Forecasting: Maintain owner-side cash flow forecasts, financial progress Scurves,
and risk management logs to keep institutional board stakeholders informed.
Progress Reviews & Executive Reporting: Prepare concise executive dashboards, variance analysis reports, and critical path risk assessments for institutional board presentations.
KEY QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS
Education: Bachelor’s Degree (B.E. / B.Tech) in Civil Engineering. Master's Degree in Construction
Management or PMP/PSP certification is strongly preferred.
Experience: Minimum 5 years of core planning and scheduling experience, with demonstrated consulting/PMC exposure on Institutional / Educational Campus Projects .
Software Proficiency: Expert-level command of Primavera P6 and MS Project . Proficient in MS
Excel (advanced analytics, dashboards), AutoCAD , and BIM integration tools.
Consultancy Competency: Solid knowledge of FIDIC/standard consulting contract conditions,
delay analysis methodologies (Impacted As-Planned, Time Impact Analysis), and constructability audits.
Soft Skills: Strong analytical mindset, objective audit capabilities, excellent technical reporting, and client management skills.
