Role Overview

We are looking for a skilled PHP Developer with at least 2 years of experience to join our backend engineering team. In this role, you will be responsible for building, maintaining, and optimizing the server-side components of our high-frequency trading platforms. You will work closely with front-end developers and system architects to ensure our applications are secure, scalable, and highly performant.

Key Responsibilities:

- Development: Write clean, maintainable, and efficient server-side code using PHP.
- Architecture: Design and implement scalable database schemas and RESTful APIs for internal and client-facing platforms.
- Integration: Integrate third-party services, payment gateways, and trading APIs into our core systems.
- Optimization: Troubleshoot, debug, and optimize application performance to ensure low-latency responses.
- Security: Implement robust security practices to protect sensitive financial data and prevent vulnerabilities.
- Collaboration: Work within an Agile environment, participating in code reviews and sprint planning.
- Maintenance: Manage updates, documentation, and version control (Git) for ongoing projects.

Desired Candidate Profile:

- Education: Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- Core Skills:



Strong proficiency in PHP 8.x and modern PHP frameworks (Laravel or CodeIgniter preferred).
- Databases: Solid experience with MySQL or PostgreSQL (query optimization, indexing, and database design).
- Frontend Basics: Working knowledge of HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, and AJAX.
- Tools: Proficiency in Git version control and familiarity with Linux/Unix environments.
- Problem Solving: Ability to debug complex issues and refactor legacy code for better performance.
- Mindset: A proactive approach to learning new technologies and adapting to the rapid-paced fintech domain.
