Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Pharmacy Technician role based at a Pradhan Mantri Bhartiya Jan Aushadhi Kendra (PMBJAK) in Ahmedabad.

The Pharmacy

Technician will support licensed pharmacists by processing prescriptions, preparing and dispensing medications, labeling and packaging drugs, and ensuring accurate documentation.

Responsibilities include assisting with inventory control, monitoring stock levels, checking expiry dates, and organizing storage to maintain compliance with relevant guidelines. The role involves providing courteous customer service, answering basic medication-related queries within scope, and guiding customers on the availability and pricing of generic medicines.

The Pharmacy

Technician will also help maintain a clean,



safe workspace, follow standard operating procedures, and uphold regulatory and quality standards.

Qualifications Ability to accurately handle prescriptions and related documentation, with solid attention to detail and adherence to safety protocols.

Knowledge of pharmacy operations and basic pharmacology, with practical experience supporting pharmacists in a retail or hospital pharmacy setting.

Hands-on experience as a Pharmacy Technician, including medication dispensing, labeling, and record-keeping.

Skills in inventory control, including stock management, ordering, and tracking expiry dates to minimize wastage.

Strong customer service skills, with the ability to communicate clearly, handle queries professionally, and support diverse patients respectfully.

Relevant diploma or certification in Pharmacy or Pharmacy Technology; registration with appropriate pharmacy authorities as required by local regulations.

Basic computer literacy for operating pharmacy software and maintaining digital records.

Ability to stand for extended periods, work in a fast-paced environment, and collaborate effectively with pharmacy staff.

Prior experience in generic medicines or government pharmacy schemes is an advantage.
