Job Summary

As a System Administrator at Kyndryl, you ll solve complex problems and identify potential future issues across the spectrum of platforms and services. You ll be at the forefront of new technology and modernization, working with some of our biggest clients - which means some of the biggest in the world.

There s never a typical day as a System Administrator at Kyndryl, because no two projects are alike. You ll be managing systems data for clients and providing day-to-day solutions and security compliance. You ll oversee a queue of assignments and work directly with technicians, prioritizing tickets to deliver the best solutions to our clients.

Responsibilities

- Analyze system utilization trends.

- Forecast processor and infrastructure growth.

- Optimize workload placement and resource consumption.

- Produce capacity plans for customer growth and hardware refreshes.

- Support chargeback/showback reporting.

- Assist hardware planning and business case development.

- Identify CPU, memory, storage, and workload bottlenecks.

Required Technical and Skilled Expertise





- Robust experience in z/OS Performance Capacity Management, including RMF, SMF, WLM, capacity modeling, and performance engineering.

- Expertise in processor utilization analysis, trend analysis, forecasting, and workload optimization.

- Hands-on experience with IBM zPCR, zBNA, SAS/MXG, and performance reporting tools.

- Knowledge of Windows Server 2016/2019, VMware ESX, and public/private cloud environments, including on-premises to cloud migrations.

- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and data-driven decision-making skills.

Preferred Technical and Professional Experience

- IBM Z Performance and Capacity Management certifications.

- Experience with IBM zPCR, zBNA, OMEGAMON, RMF Monitor III, and enterprise monitoring tools.

- Proficiency in SAS/MXG, reporting, visualization, and performance analytics.

- Knowledge of Parallel Sysplex, LPAR optimization, IBM Z hardware architecture, and WLM policy management.

- Experience with Power BI, Tableau, Grafana, or similar reporting platforms.

- Familiarity with cloud/hybrid capacity planning, financial modeling, cost optimization, and ITIL Service Capacity Management.

- Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC), vulnerability management, Active Directory, and ADFS.

- Strong stakeholder management, presentation, and documentation skills supporting mission-critical enterprise environments.
