– PEGA QA Tester / Test Lead

Location: Hyderabad - Onsite

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced PEGA QA Tester with 10+ years of experience in functional and automation testing of enterprise applications.

The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in PEGA application testing , Tosca automation , test management , and SQL-based database validation . The candidate will be responsible for designing and executing test cases, validating application functionality, automating regression test scenarios, and ensuring high-quality PEGA application releases.

Key Responsibilities:

- Perform end-to-end functional testing of PEGA applications to validate business requirements and application workflows.
- Analyze business requirements, user stories, and functional specifications to develop comprehensive test scenarios and test cases.
- Create, maintain, and execute test cases using qTest .
- Perform Smoke, Sanity, Functional, System Integration, Regression, and User Acceptance Testing (UAT) .
- Develop, execute, and maintain automated test scripts using Tricentis Tosca .
- Identify suitable test cases for automation and support the development of automated regression test suites.
- Validate PEGA application workflows, business rules, case management processes, user interfaces, and integrations.
- Perform backend and database validation using SQL queries .
- Validate data accuracy, data flow, and application transactions across PEGA applications and integrated systems.
- Log, track, and manage defects using defect management tools and collaborate with development teams for resolution.
- Perform defect retesting and regression testing to ensure issues are resolved without impacting existing functionality.
- Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies, including sprint planning, backlog grooming, daily stand-ups,



sprint reviews, and retrospectives.
- Collaborate with Business Analysts, PEGA Developers, Product Owners, and other QA team members to ensure complete test coverage.
- Prepare test execution reports, defect reports, test metrics, and quality status updates.
- Support continuous improvement of QA processes, automation coverage, and testing standards.

Required Skills:

- 10+ years of experience in Software Quality Assurance and Testing .
- Strong experience in Functional Testing of enterprise applications.
- Hands-on experience testing PEGA applications , including PEGA workflows, case management, business rules, and user interfaces.
- Strong hands-on experience with Tricentis Tosca for test automation.
- Experience developing and maintaining automated test scripts and regression test suites.
- Experience using qTest for test case creation, test execution, test planning, and test management.
- Strong knowledge of SQL for database querying, backend validation, and data verification.
- Experience in Smoke, Sanity, Functional, Integration, System, Regression, and UAT testing .
- Solid understanding of the Software Testing Life Cycle (STLC) and defect life cycle.
- Experience working in Agile/Scrum development environments.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and defect identification skills.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

Preferred Skills:

- Experience with PEGA PRPC/PEGA Infinity applications.
- Knowledge of PEGA Customer Service, Customer Process Management (CPM), or Constellation applications.
- Experience testing REST APIs and web services using Postman or similar tools.
- Experience with Jira or other defect and project management tools.
- PEGA certification or Tricentis Tosca certification is a plus.

Education:

- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
