Practice, the firm has specialised teams for Patents and Designs as well as Trademarks and Copyrights.

The firm is strengthening its team by recruiting an Associate within the IPR division on retainership basis.

A Patent Filing Associate reports to a Partner. Stratjuris is looking for people who are passionate about learning various procedures relating to Filing and Maintenance of patents, Trademarks, designs, and Copyrights.

The Candidate will be recruited on Probation for three months, wherein he/she will be Trained on Various Aspects of Patents and other Intellectual Property Rights. Thereafter, the Retainership may be confirmed, based on the performance during probation period.

The Broad outline of responsibilities of the Retainer are as follows:

Supporting

Attorneys in global patent filings and prosecution

- Dealing with client emails and filing formalities related to Patent & Design applications at IPO
- Docketing and maintaining details of clients and their associated matters
- Generate client reports and other types of reports for strategy and further analysis
- Maintain IP portfolios for some important domestic and international clients
- Dealing with general queries related to the prosecution of IP matters (both domestic and foreign) with clients in coordination with the concerned Attorney
- Updating and maintaining daily dockets for clients worldwide and following up on patent and design application filings, prosecution, etc. with clients
- Updating software databases, formulating, and sending emails, and communicating with clients/attorneys over conference calls
- Proofreading patent documents and identify errors introduced by patent office and/or by applicant.
- Conducting patent & design pre-filing search in global jurisdictions




- Conducting periodic Patent watch/monitoring for patent data in global jurisdictions
- Managing efficient and on-time project delivery with a high standard of quality

Requirements

Candidate may have 0-3 Years of relevant Experience in order to qualify for an interview call for this position. A relevant Experience means Experience gained while working in a Law Firm or as an In-House Patent Associate/Analyst.

Experience gained while Teaching in an Academic Institution will not be counted for the purpose of this position.

Location: The Position requires the Candidate to operate out of Stratjuris office in Baner, Pune.

Interview: The Interview Process at Stratjuris is divided into three Rounds, which may take at least a day or more to complete.

Round 1 involves a test for English Proficiency wherein GRAMMAR & VOCABULARY, LISTENING COMPREHENSION and READING COMPREHENSION are tested.

Round 2 involves Test for understanding of laws relating to Intellectual Property (Basic level)

Round 3 involves a face-to-face Personal Interview of the Candidate in which the Capabilities of the Candidate corresponding to Leadership Skills, Confidence, Stability, Subject Matter Knowledge and other interpersonal skills are analysed.

If a candidate clears all three rounds, an offer is extended to the candidate subject to his/her acceptance within a given time-frame.

Retainership

All recruitment are on Retainership basis and there is no Employer-Employee relationship. A fixed amount of Retainership fee is provided on a monthly basis after deducting Tax at Source @ 10%.

Working Hours and Leaves :

Working Hours of the firm are 9.30 am to 6.30 pm (Monday to Friday)
