OPERATIONS MANAGER (RUBBER MOLDING PLANT)

Established in 2009, Revata Engineering is a well-recognized manufacturer and supplier of Elastomer / Rubber parts for the Oil & Gas industry. The company’s head office and manufacturing facility is in M.I.D.C., Bhosari, Pune. Our quality management system is certified to ISO 9001:2015, and we operate an in-house NABL-accredited testing laboratory, serving customers in India and overseas.

Role Description:

We are seeking an experienced Production / Operations Manager to lead the day-to-day operations of our rubber molding plant. Reporting directly to the Managing Director, the Operations Manager will hold overall responsibility for plant operations and will coordinate the working of all departments including Mixing, Production Planning, Purchase, Stores, Quality, Testing, and Engineering.

The aim is to ensure that customer orders are delivered on time, in full, and in conformance with our quality management system.

This role will also play a central part in further strengthening and institutionalizing our operating systems: standard operating procedures, interdepartmental coordination, structured daily management, and a culture of continuous improvement founded on 5S, kaizen, and poka-yoke.

Key Responsibilities:

- Plan and control production across mixing, molding, and finishing operations to ensure on-time and in-full delivery of customer orders.
- Ensure that defined methods, approved materials, and appropriate resources are deployed at every stage of production, with proper documentation, to ensure efficient production and prevent avoidable rejection.
- Establish and sustain structured daily management across the plant,



including daily production review meetings, standard operating procedures and work instructions, clearly defined interdepartmental handoffs, and disciplined use of the company’s planning and stores systems.
- Coordinate with Purchase to ensure material availability, and oversee Stores, packing, and dispatch with complete records, traceability, and FIFO control.
- Work closely with Quality and Testing to reduce rejection, ensure timely closure of NCRs and corrective actions, and maintain audit readiness for API Spec Q1, ISO 9001:2015, and customer audits.
- Liaise with Engineering on preventive maintenance of presses, mixers, molds, and utilities, and on scheduling press time for new mold trials.
- Drive continuous improvement across the plant through 5S, kaizen, and poka-yoke initiatives targeting rejection, downtime, and changeover time.
- Manage shift manpower, including deployment of permanent and contract workforce, and build team capability through structured training.
- Monitor and improve productivity and conversion cost, including material utilization, scrap, energy consumption, and cost of poor quality.
- Uphold protected working practices and ensure statutory compliance across plant operations.
- Present daily and periodic reports on production, rejection, downtime,



and dispatch performance to the Managing Director.

Who Should Apply:

Candidates who have managed the end-to-end operations of a rubber molding plant right from mixing and molding to Quality and dispatch. Candidate must bring hands-on experience in establishing SOPs, daily management systems, 5S, and kaizen. The role calls for a mature leader who can build accountable, well-coordinated teams and develop people at all levels. Only candidates with rubber molding industry experience will be considered.

Qualifications:

- Diploma / BE / BTech in Polymer or Rubber Technology, Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent.
- 8–12 years of experience in rubber molding plant operations.
- Sound hands-on knowledge of the complete elastomer process flow: mixing, compound release testing, molding, finishing, and inspection.
- Proven experience in developing and implementing SOPs, production reporting, and daily management systems.
- Hands-on experience implementing 5S, kaizen, and poka-yoke on the shop floor.
- Working knowledge of ISO 9001:2015; exposure to industry specific quality systems and customer audits will be an advantage.
- Proficiency in MS Excel and disciplined documentation practices.
- Fluency in English and Marathi or Hindi, with the ability to engage confidently both on the shop floor and in customer audits.

Office Timings: Monday - Saturday (8:30 AM to 5:30 PM)

Remuneration: CTC will be as per industry standard.
