Role Description The Online Machine Learning Mentor will guide school-age learners through foundational and intermediate machine learning concepts in a virtual classroom setting. Day-to-day tasks include preparing lesson plans, delivering live online sessions, explaining ML concepts in simple, age-appropriate terms, and supporting students as they implement projects using basic machine learning tools and programming languages.

The mentor will provide regular feedback on assignments, monitor student progress, and adjust teaching strategies to meet diverse learning needs. Additional responsibilities include collaborating with the curriculum team to refine content, maintaining a positive and inclusive learning environment, and communicating with parents or guardians when needed.



This is a part time, remote role.

Qualifications

- Candidates should possess core technical skills in programming (e.g., Python), basic machine learning concepts, and familiarity with common ML libraries or educational platforms.
- Candidates should possess teaching and mentoring skills, including the ability to explain complex topics simply, manage interactive online sessions, and adapt to different learning styles.
- Candidates should possess communication and interpersonal skills, such as clear written and spoken English, active listening, and a supportive, student-focused approach.
- Candidates should possess skills in lesson planning and curriculum alignment, including designing structured activities, setting learning objectives, and assessing student understanding.
