Role Description This is a full-time, on-site role based in the Pune Division, focused on NPD Quality, Project Quality for gears, Supplier Development, and Supplier Quality Assurance (SQA). The role involves managing quality activities for new product development, including defining quality plans, supporting APQP/PPAP processes, and ensuring adherence to customer and internal specifications.

The position includes coordinating project-specific quality reviews, risk assessments, and corrective actions, as well as supporting cross-functional teams in engineering, production, and procurement. Day-to-day responsibilities include evaluating and developing suppliers, conducting supplier audits, monitoring supplier performance,



and driving improvement initiatives in line with IGW’s quality standards. The role also requires preparing and maintaining quality documentation, analyzing nonconformities, leading problem-solving activities, and communicating effectively with internal and external stakeholders.

Qualifications

- Candidates should possess strong skills in product and project quality management, including NPD quality planning, APQP/PPAP, control plans, and FMEA.
- Candidates should possess skills in supplier development and SQA, such as supplier audits, capability assessments, performance monitoring, and corrective action management.
- Candidates should possess skills in quality tools and methodologies, including root cause analysis (e.g., 8D, fishbone), statistical process control, and continuous improvement practices.
- Candidates should possess skills related to technical understanding of gears and precision components, including reading engineering drawings, tolerances, and relevant industry standards.
- Candidates should possess strong communication, documentation, and stakeholder management skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams and external partners.
- Relevant engineering degree or diploma (e.g., Mechanical, Production, Industrial) or equivalent technical qualification is preferred.
- Experience in machining, gear manufacturing, or heavy engineering environments, especially in an international or OEM supply context, is beneficial.
- Familiarity with ISO 9001 or IATF 16949 quality systems, and proficiency in basic office and data analysis software, is an advantage.
